 The Android kit is based on ARM11 Samsung S3C6410 which provides a standard set of on-board peripherals. Combined with 128MB mDDR RAM, 256MB NandFlash, 10/100M Ethernet controller and a power management controller (PMIC), the KIT offers a powerful solution for many embedded applications ¨C wireless communication, navigation, medical devices, industrial automation controllers etc.
The Android kit has exposed many peripherals, such as serial port, LCD/TSP, TVOUT, S-Video, Ethernet, GPIO, camera, SPI and JTAG. Besides, two high speed SD card sockets and two camera interfaces (one is dual in line Pin connector, the other one is FPC connector) are included. The kit runs not only WinCE6.0, Linux2.6 and Ubuntu, but also Android2.3. It has enabled almost all and the latest features of Android such as 3G Networking, WIFI, GPS.
With ARM11 Samsung S3C6410 chipset, well architecture and multiple operating systems supported, the Android kit offers fast time-to-market with reduced development cost and significant freedom in meeting form-fit-function requirements. In the meanwhile, this development board presents fine performance, low power consumption, and optimized integrated graphics for a wide range of embedded markets.
